Reel to Reel tapes can be recognised easily as they are tape wound around a spool with no outer covering. They were also known as magnetic tapes or open reel tapes. Most domestic tapes were single sided with a track on both sides. However, there were some that could record two tracks per side making 4 tracks in all. These muti track reels are reasonably unusual though. The prices below are for reel to reel tapes that have a single track on either side.
